Description
The stable at Manor House is a two-storey outbuilding, likely built in the 18th or 19th century, and is attached by a boundary wall to the back of the Manor House. It features painted rubble construction and an asbestos cement slate roof. The stable faces Back Lane and has a segmental arch above a wide pair of plank doors, along with a deep-set plank loading door located in the upper right. To the right, there is a section of wall topped with concrete coping that connects to wide garage doors at the back of the house. Inside, the stable has a cobbled floor and retains some original stabling features, including an upper loft. This stable is an interesting addition to the main house and plays an important role in maintaining the visual continuity at the corner of Palm Cross Green and Back Lane.
