This is an 18th-century building, altered over time, comprising numbers 7 to 11 Clifton Place and also numbers 11 and 12 Fore Street. The north face is constructed of stone, but has been plastered and colourwashed, with altered windows, mainly casements. The entrances are located on the south side, leading to a courtyard. The west-facing side fronts onto Fore Street, with a passage running underneath. At the rear, there are old hung slates and a flush-frame sash window with glazing bars. The building features a massive central chimney and a roof of red machine pantiles.
