Description

Former Torr Farmhouse, dating circa 1860, is a stone rubble building with a slate roof and gabled ends. The front features three small gables with ornate pierced bargeboards and pendants. The house has two storeys and an attic, with three bays arranged symmetrically. Windows are Gothick two-centred arches, featuring casements with Y-tracery and leaded panes. A central stone porch has a two-centred arch doorway and gables with ornate bargeboards; the inner door also has a two-centred arch and fanlight. Ground floor windows and the doorway are topped with hood moulds. Stone chimney stacks are located at the gable ends and have brick shafts set at a diagonal. Pointed arch windows are present in the gable ends.
