Description

The Lime Kiln at Kitley Caves is a disused single lime kiln dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and projects from a bank, featuring a semi-circular end. There are round-arched openings on either side, with the opening on the northeast side being partly collapsed. The structure has two string courses. The lime quarry is located immediately behind the kiln to the northwest, and the caves are open to the public.
