Description
The outbuilding immediately west of Crowdy Mill is a small structure believed to have been used as a pigsty. It dates from around the mid-19th century and is not shown on the 1840 tithe map. The building is constructed of local stone rubble and features a regular slate roof with gabled ends and clay ridge tiles. It has a rectangular plan with a wide doorway at the front. The exterior is single-storey, with one wide opening on the east front that has a timber lintel and contains a pair of later plank doors. There is also a small ventilation hole in the gable end. The interior has not been inspected. This outbuilding is part of a notable group of buildings associated with Crowdy Mill.
