Description

This building is a barn with an attached roundhouse, located approximately 30 metres west of Sticklepath Farmhouse. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of stone rubble with a slate roof. The barn features gable ends, while the roundhouse has a conical slate roof. The barn consists of seven bays, and the roundhouse is attached to its east side. There are opposing entrances on each side of the roundhouse, all with double doors, except for the right side which has a wide single door with iron grille bars above. Each entrance is sheltered by projecting stone rubble porches with pentice roofs. Inside the roundhouse, there is a massive horizontal winding beam and a fine roof structure with narrowly spaced rafters that taper to a point at the rounded end.
