Description

This is a headstone with an accompanying footstone, located approximately 5 metres north of the north transept of the Church of St. Peter ad Vincula in Combe Martin. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a straight top with angel busts at the corners. It is inscribed with the name of John Gubb, who died in 1767, along with other family members. The footstone includes an urn at the head of the verse.
