3/16 The Old Coach Stables 25.2.65 100 metres east of East Down Manor - II

Stable block, now dwelling. C18 rubble stone with slate roof, octagonal cupola and weather vane on slate-hung base. 2 storeys, 7 bays. Central 10-hole pigeon loft above garage door. Left-hand side has early C20 outshut extending at right angles to main block. 4 timber sashes with horns and glazing bars above 2 doorways to each side of timber sash with glazing bars, 8 panes per sash. To right, 3 timber sashes with horns and glazing bars above doorway between 2 sashes with glazing bars, 8 panes per sash. Stacks to rear. 2 doorways have lattice fanlights.
