Description
111 and 112 Boutport Street is a house, now used as offices, owned by the Barnstaple Bridge Trust. It was built around the 1820s and features a plastered exterior with a slate roof that has gabled ends. The building has brick chimney stacks with old pots and a double-depth plan.
It stands three storeys tall with a one-bay front. The façade includes a moulded eaves cornice and eaves board, along with a platband at the first-floor level. There are paired pilasters above the platband on the left side and a single pilaster on the right side, which is at the junction with No. 113. To the left of the building, there is a doorway with a recessed six-panel door and a decorative overlight featuring a central roundel. The ground floor has a 16-pane sash window, while the first floor has an 8 over 12-pane sash window, and the second floor features another 16-pane sash window. The interior has not been inspected but may still have interesting features.
