Description

This is a group of five gravestones located approximately 5 metres southeast of the south porch of the Church of St John the Baptist. The gravestones date from the 18th century and are made of slate with shaped heads. They consist of two pairs of gravestones marking the head and feet of the Radford and Smyth graves, along with a stone at the foot of an unknown grave. The stone at the foot of the Radford grave features the verse, "A pretty Babe is Buried here who to his parents was most Dear..." and the stone at the foot of the unknown grave has the inscription, "A virgin pure was buried here And to her Parents was most dear...."
