Description

The boundary wall and gate piers to the Church of St Matthew and The Old Schoolroom were built around 1860. The wall is made of ridge capped rubble slate and features a string course below the capping. The gate piers are also constructed from rubble and topped with stone cross gable caps. They include a wrought-iron overthrow adorned with a spear finial and a pendant lamp hook. The Church of St Matthew, The Old Schoolroom, and the boundary wall and gate piers are recognized as a cohesive group.
