Description

No. 5, St Peter’s Terrace, is a house likely dating from the 18th century, although it may be even earlier. The exterior is roughcast, with a slate roof and a right-hand stack featuring a rendered shaft. The house is two rooms wide and one room deep. It has an asymmetrical facade with a three-window arrangement. A recessed front door is situated on the left-hand side. A paired 12-pane sash window is located on the right-hand side of the ground floor, and a similar 12-pane sash window is above it on the first floor. Two 4-pane horned sash windows are present on the left-hand side of the first floor. The interior has not been inspected, but may contain features of interest, and the house could have an early roof construction. The property occupies an important location facing a yard that contains St Anne’s Chapel and the parish church.
