Description

At the northern end of Church Lane, west of Church House, there are two cast-iron bollards. These bollards have tapered, fluted shafts and ball finials, and they likely date from the late 19th century. They were probably installed after the Town Council removed the churchyard gates at this end of Church Lane in 1889. Additionally, there are four similar posts located at the southern end of Church Lane.
