Description

EAST WORLINGTON PEDLEY LANE SS 71 SE 8/25 Pedley Barton - - II Farmhouse. Probably C17 or earlier, C18 refenestration. Cob and rubble, roughcast; asbestos-sheeting roof; 2 brick ridge stacks and a rough-cast lateral stack with offsets, capped with brick shaft. Plan: 3-room and through-passage plan, lower end to right, hall heated from the front lateral stack, inner room and lower end heated from gable end stacks, C20 addition at lower end to right, late C18 addition at higher end. Exterior: 2 storeys, 2:2 windows, 3-light late C18 casements with very close-set glazing bars. Principal door opening to right of stack to through-passage, panelled door. Interior: only partially seen, lower room with 2 chamfered and stepped-stopped axial beams, lateral fireplace blocked; some high quality C18 fielded panelled doors also seen. The hall, inner room, first floor and the roof were not seen.
