Description
The boundary walls to numbers 11 and 11A on Boutport Street in Barnstaple were built around 1820. They are stuccoed and feature slate coping along Coronation Street, where the walls are tall and have plain pilasters, as well as a blue tiled street sign. The elevation facing Boutport Street includes one tall bay, flanked by pilasters with a segmental-headed recess. The wall in front of number 11 is reduced in height at the entrance, which is flanked by small piers. The wall in front of number 11A contains an archway and a garden wall to the left of the main range. These walls are important to the setting of a fine 19th-century house and enhance the attractiveness of the streetscape.
