Description

The Kidwell headstone with an accompanying footstone is located approximately 2 meters south of the west tower of the Church of St. Peter ad Vincula in Combe Martin. This headstone dates from the early 19th century and is made of slate with shaped heads. The headstone features a bust of an angel at the top and includes an inscription dedicated to Maria Kidwell, who died in 1820, along with a mention of her sister. The footstone has an urn at the top and displays a verse.
