Description
This building is a bakery or detached kitchen with attached outbuildings, located 5 metres east of Town Farmhouse. It is probably from the early 19th century and is constructed of rubble with a slate roof featuring gable ends. The building has a rectangular plan, single room deep, with two internal partitions. On the west side, there are three ledged plank doors, and the east side has two windows with 19th-century two-light casements, each with six panes, set under brick lintels. At the north end, there is a large truncated rubble stack with an offset, and a rounded bread oven with a slate capping, which is a later addition. Internally, the building has a brick floor and plastered walls, while the roof timbers have been replaced. The outbuildings include a privy and a doghouse, as well as a yard wall to the north of the rear of Town Farmhouse.
