Description
This is a pair of chest tombs and four gravestones dedicated to the Brayley and Barrow families, located approximately 5 metres south-west of the south porch of the Church of St Paul. They date from the early 19th century. The chest tombs are set on a brick plinth, which is moulded at both the base and the top. The left-hand tomb features a slate slab, while the right-hand tomb has a stone slab. The gravestones are made of slate and are straight-headed. There are two pairs of opposing gravestones flanked by the chest tombs. The inscriptions on these memorials commemorate members of the Brayley family, and the right-hand chest tomb includes two stone panels with inscriptions for the Barrow family.
