Description
Meadow Park Lodge is a lodge for Castle Hill House, likely built in the mid-19th century. The structure features both ashlar and rendered stone, topped with slate roofs. It has an L-plan design consisting of two single-bay square pavilions that are linked on one side. The lodge is styled in the 1730s Burlingtonian style and stands two storeys tall, showcasing banded stonework at the base and rusticated quoins above. The windows are primarily 9-pane sashes, all with rusticated surrounds, and there is a possibly later canted bay facing the road. Each pavilion is topped with its own pyramid roof. This lodge is part of the extensive range of park buildings associated with Castle Hill, many of which also date from the 1730s.
