Description

This early 19th-century house with a shop has a rendered facade and a slated roof. A red brick chimney is visible on the right side wall. The building is three storeys high and has a four-window front. Remnants of a late 19th-century shop front remain, featuring panelled end pilasters and large, bracketed blocks at the top. The upper-storey windows have barred sash windows: the second storey has 6 over 9 panes, while the third storey has 6 over 6 panes. The second-storey windows have small hoodmoulds, which may be the remains of blindcases. A prominent dentilled eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The interior was not inspected, but a first-floor room on the left front of the building is visible and features an enriched cornice and frieze.
