Description

Rillside is a small house likely dating from the 18th century. It is built of rendered cob with a water-reed thatched roof, featuring a hip on the left side and a brick stack on the right. The original plan probably comprised two ground-floor rooms, with a later lean-to addition on the right side. The exterior presents a two-storey, two-window front. It has 20th-century casement windows in original square openings, and a glazed door is located in the doorway towards the left. The placement of ground and first-floor windows on the left return suggests an unheated room, with a small chamber above it, situated behind the entrance hall. The interior of the house was not inspected.
