Description

Cleave Cottage is a small house, likely dating from the 17th century. It is built of rendered cob and stone, with weatherboarding to the left-hand end, and has a half-hipped wheat-reed thatched roof with eyebrows over the eaves windows. A brick stack is situated over the original right-hand end. The original plan comprised two rooms, with a 20th-century extension added to the right.

The exterior is two storeys high and features a two-window range with irregular window placement. It has two-light casements with old leaded lights to the first floor, and later four-pane casements to the ground floor. A 20th-century split-ledged door is accessed through a thatched porch.

The interior was not inspected.
