Description

This is a 17th-century headstone located approximately 10 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew in Colebrooke. Made of limestone, the headstone is an upright slab with a flat top and broadly rounded corners, standing about 0.4 meters high. It features an inscription in capital letters that commemorates George Cann, a yeoman, although the date of his death has worn away and is now illegible. There are also traces of black paint remaining on the inscription.
