Description
This building is a coach house and adjoining stables located approximately southeast of Higher Furzeland Farmhouse. It dates from the late 17th century to the 18th century and is constructed from cob and rubble, with a corrugated iron roof that was formerly thatched. The long block faces west and includes the coach house on the left, which features a large doorway that has been partly repaired with 20th-century brick. On the right side are the stables, which have a central door and a window on either side, although the right window is now blocked. There is a central loading door on the first floor, and the roof is half-hipped at both ends. The building has a 7-bay roof supported by oak A-frames with pegged lap-jointed collars. It is included in the listing for its group value.
