Description

Brendon Cottage is likely a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century, now combined into a single dwelling. The walls are plastered cob construction, built on rubble footings, with stacks constructed of rubble or cob and topped with 20th-century brick, and a thatched roof. Originally comprising two single-room cottages facing southeast, the building has a projecting lateral stack to the rear of the left room and a projecting gable-end stack to the right room. The front facade is almost symmetrical, featuring 20th-century casement windows and a pair of central doors. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and gable-ended on the right. The interior contains plain carpentry details.
