Description
32 High Street is a house, likely built in the late 18th century, with the ground floor currently used as a restaurant. The building is roughcast with a slate roof and features end stacks with brick shafts and brick bands on the main range. It has a deep plan, including a cartway to the left with a room above. The exterior is two storeys high, with deep eaves supported by paired moulded eaves brackets. The front has three windows, with one located above the segmental-arched cartway. The second floor has four late 19th-century sashes with 2/2 panes, likely set in earlier openings. The ground floor was altered in the late 20th century, now featuring a door on the right and two fixed six-pane windows on the left. The interior has not been inspected but may still have interesting features. This building is included for its group value.
