Description
Villa Franca is a detached house located on Park Road in Tiverton. It was formerly the home of Martin Dunsford, a local historian from the late 18th century. The house dates back to the 18th century and has undergone some alterations over time. It features a rendered mass wall construction topped with a hipped slate roof.
The exterior of the building is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay front. The entrance includes a six-panel front door, which is flanked by canted bay windows that are glazed with small panes. The right-hand bay has been enclosed with a later conservatory. The previous listing description also mentioned a three-storey north block that has flush frame sash windows with glazing bars and a steep roof.
The interior of the house was not available for inspection at the time of the survey, but it may still contain features of interest.
