Description
May Headstone is located approximately 25 meters south of the west end of the nave of the Church of St Bartholomew. This headstone, dated 1743, commemorates Margaret May. It is made of slate and features a round-headed upright slab that stands about 1.3 meters high. The headstone has a scrollwork border around its edge and an inscribed cherub at the top. The inscription, which uses both upper and lower case letters, notes the burial of Margaret May, the daughter of Edward and Catherine May.
