Description

Waytown Limekilns is a row of five limekilns, likely constructed between 1810 and 1814 for the Great Western Canal. They are made of limestone rubble with brick used in the kiln chambers. The kilns that face the canal feature segmental-headed arches, with lower arches flanked by three tall arches.
