Description
The Churchill Chest Tomb, located approximately 12 meters southeast of the chancel of the Church of All Saints, is a Grade II listed structure dated 1818 in memory of John Churchill. It is made of Portland stone and features a white marble plaque. The tomb has a rectangular shape with a flat soffit-moulded lid and a moulded base. Its sides are adorned with simple recessed panels that have bead-moulded surrounds. The central marble panel on the north side is inscribed, commemorating the death of John Churchill, a fellow of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, in 1818.
