Cottage. Probably C17 core rebuilt in C18. Plastered cob on rubble footings; cob or rubble stack with plastered C20 brick chimney shaft; thatch roof. 1-room plan cottage facing north with stack projecting from right (west) end. 2 storeys. Front has 2 ground floor and 1 first floor late C19 or C20 casements, the ground floor left probably replacing former door. Wall plate shows under eaves. Roof is continuous with adjoining Wayside (q.v.) to left and half-hipped to right. Present door in rift end. Interior: shows plain C18 detail. Gremlin Cottage once connected with adjoining Wayside: Roof not inspected. Coleford is a rermarkably unspoilt and picturesque hamlet.
