Description
The farm buildings and cob wall located approximately 10 metres north-east of South Weeke Farmhouse date from the late 18th to early 19th century. They are constructed of cob on rubble footings and feature a corrugated iron roof, which was formerly thatch. The complex includes three blocks of farm buildings and a connecting cob wall, arranged in a south-east facing range. To the right (north-east) is a linhay, and to the left are stables. A barn is positioned in a crosswing at the left end, facing north-east.
From the left end of the barn, a high cob wall extends a short distance to meet the rear of the south-east facing cartshed. The linhay consists of 8 bays (Alcock's Type T1) with an A-frame roof supported by pegged lap-jointed collars, and it has a hipped roof at the right end. The adjoining stables on the left have a roof at a higher level, featuring a door on the left and an unglazed 2-light window on the right. The barn is larger, with a large central doorway that has been reduced in size. The right side of the barn has adjoining stables and an unglazed 2-light window to the left, with a hipped roof at both ends.
The cob wall to the left has pitched pantile coping, while the low cartshed has a central doorway and a hipped roof at each end. Additionally, from the left end of the cartshed, another cob wall with pitched pantile coping extends forward (south-eastwards) alongside a garden.
