Description

The ice house, located approximately 2 metres north of Court Hall Farmhouse, is likely from the late 18th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble and is built into a terrace that faces the back of the farmhouse. The ground behind has been landscaped to create a ramp over the top of the ice house. The terrace is supported by stone rubble and features a pair of segmental-headed arches leading to two small ice houses, both of which have segmental barrel vaults. This ice house is part of an attractive group of structures associated with Court Hall Farmhouse.
