Description
This building is a barn, storage chamber, and tallet located 20 meters south of East Butterleigh House, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of cob with a stone plinth and is plastered, topped with a gabled-end slate roof. The structure has an L-shaped plan, forming the west and south sides of the farmstead. It features one pointed window with Y-tracery and additional windows with conventional casements. The tallet is situated at the south-east (inner) angle and has no openings on its outer faces. The west side has bargeboarding, and there is a large weathervane shaped like a fox. The listing also includes the adjoining garden wall to the west, which is made of cob with a stone plinth, plastered under slate coping, along with wrought-iron garden gates and piers that have moulded caps topped with stone balls.
