Description

This memorial stone, located approximately 4 metres south of the west tower of the Church of St Peter, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is made of granite and features an upright, square-headed slab that stands about 1.2 metres high. The east face of the stone is inscribed with plain upper and lower case lettering, which includes the quotation, "Move not my bones, I pray you, Until the Day of Resurrection."
