Description
The former stable block located 50 metres north-east of Bolealler House is a mid-19th century structure now used for various agricultural purposes. It is built of yellow brick and consists of two single-storey ranges under gabled slate roofs, with a slightly projecting three-storey central tower topped by a hipped slate roof. The building features cogged brick cornices throughout.
The tower has three decorative horizontal bands made of red brick, a round-headed window on the ground floor, a square-headed hayloft opening under a red brick arch with a keystone on the first floor, and paired round-headed windows above. The tower is topped with two iron finials and an axial weathervane.
On the left-hand range, there are two round-headed windows and two round-headed doors, while the right-hand range has four large round-headed stable doorways, each with double doors, all set under red-brick arches. Each end elevation features an oculus. Some original plain stalls remain inside, and the roof includes a tie beam, king-post, and diagonal struts.
