Description
Number 2 Cross Cottages is a house that was formerly two cottages, likely built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. The structure is made of plastered rubble or cob, with a stone rubble stack topped with brick, and features a slate roof that runs parallel to the street. Originally, it consisted of a pair of double-depth cottages facing north, each with a front and rear room and seemingly sharing a rear lateral stack. The building is two storeys high and has a regular two-window front, featuring 19th and 20th century replacement 16-pane sash windows and a 20th century door at the right end. The left ground floor window blocks the door to the former left cottage. The interior has not been inspected.
