Pair Of Cottages About 75 Metres South West Of Post Office

This is a pair of estate cottages located about 75 metres south-west of the Post Office in Huntsham, dating from around 1900. They are constructed from grey limestone and feature a slate roof with gabled ends and a central stack with a stone shaft. The cottages are symmetrical and adjoining, possibly designed from a pattern book, sharing the central stack. The overall plan is T-shaped, with a wider block at the rear and a shorter front block that has two gables. Each cottage has an entrance through porches located at the left and right angles between the rear and front blocks.

The exterior displays a symmetrical front with two windows, diagonal stone porches on either side, and two gables. There are two ground floor three-light windows with iron lattice glazing bars, and two similar two-light windows on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected. These cottages remain unspoiled examples of estate architecture in Huntsham village.
