Description

This barn, located 20 metres north of Westown Farmhouse, is possibly from the 17th century. It features a high plinth made of random rubble flint, with cob above, and a gable-end roof covered in corrugated iron. The gable walls are weatherboarded, with some areas patched using breezeblock. Inside, there are three jointed cruck trusses that rise from the ground, equipped with notched halved collars that are halved and pegged at the apex. The large first-floor beams extend through the side walls.
