Description
The Bible Christian Chapel is a disused chapel located in Little Silver, built in 1843 and restored in 1889, as indicated by the datestone. Constructed from local stone rubble, it features a slate roof and gabled ends. The building has a rectangular plan typical of small Gothick chapels, with a porch added at the right (ritual west) end, likely during the 1889 restoration. The chapel has two bays and windows only on the south side, which are three-light with two-centred arches and intersecting glazing bars. The right end includes a gabled brick porch with decorative bargeboards, a panelled door, and a stone lintel inscribed "Enter into his courts with joy." Above the porch is a small three-light window with a similar arched design. The interior has not been inspected. The chapel is situated within its own graveyard in the picturesque valley of Little Silver and is one of two non-conformist chapels in the hamlet. The adjoining cottage is not included in the listing.
