Description
Storidge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century or earlier. It is constructed of rendered cob and features a dry slate roof that slopes down towards the left. The building has a rear lateral stack with a brick shaft and a brick end stack on the external breast to the right.
The farmhouse has a three-room plan, with a hall located to the left of the center, a cross passage to the right of the hall, and a parlour at the far right. It is two storeys high and has a fairly regular four-window range. The first floor has late 20th-century casements in wide openings, while the ground floor also features late 20th-century casements, including a very wide opening to the parlour. There is a doorway in an open gabled porch to the right of the center, leading to a panelled and glazed door. Additionally, there is a window opening at the far left with a doorway to its right.
Inside, there is part of the original plank-and-muntin screen between the passage and the parlour. The parlour contains a large 17th-century fireplace and chamfered cross beams with stops, while the hall features axial beams.
