Description
East Mere Dairy is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed of rendered cob with a thatched roof and brick end stacks. The left-hand stack is positioned over an outbuilt breast that features an oven projection. The building has a two-room plan, likely with a hall on the left and an extended dairy on the far right.
The exterior consists of a two-storey main range, which includes a thatch hood over a 20th-century half-glazed door. Above this door, there are late 19th-century or early 20th-century glazing bar casements, as well as similar windows on the ground floor to the right and left. To the left, there is a single-storey dairy that has a two-light casement and an earlier three-light window opening.
The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
