Description
Mutton Marsh Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed of rendered cob with a double Roman tiled roof. It features an axial brick stack and a second stack on the right-hand gable end. The building has a two-storey structure with three windows. There is a planked door located to the right of the center, which is sheltered by a lean-to canopy supported by posts. To the left of the door, there are two 2-light casements, and to the right, there is one 2-light casement. On the first floor, there are three 2-light casements.
Attached to the returns are single-storey extensions. The rear of the farmhouse includes a planked door situated in a gabled 19th-century porch at the back of the through passage. To the left of this door, there is a 3-light casement, and to the right, a 2-light casement. The first floor features three 2-light ovolo-moulded wood mullioned casements. Additionally, there is a timber-framed lean-to extension, likely from the 19th century, on the right side, which has a half-glazed door and a 2-light casement from the 20th century. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in June 1987.
