Description
Stuckeridge Lodge is a lodge associated with Stuckeridge House, likely built in the 1820s, with a later 20th-century addition at the rear. The building is constructed from whitewashed stone rubble and features a thatched roof that is hipped at the ends and extends down as a catslide to the outshut. There are two stacks: one at the rear right lateral side and another at the rear right corner of the main block. The layout consists of a cottage orne design with two principal rooms at the front and a central entrance, with the rear outshut likely being integral to the original structure.
The lodge stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-bay front elevation, with the thatched eaves eyebrowed over the three first-floor windows. The central entrance features a half-glazed front door set within a timber porch that includes seats and lattice panels. The original glazing is intact, showcasing three 2-light windows on the first floor and two 3-light windows on the ground floor, all with pointed arched heads and intersecting glazing bars. There is a similar 3-light window on the right return, while the left return has a 20th-century window. The interior has not been inspected.
