Description

Nos 187 and 188 on High Street are late 19th century buildings with a brick front. The gable features a niche that contains a life-sized medieval carved figure of St Peter. This figure is believed to have originally served as an angle bracket for an ancient timber house that once stood at this corner. The listing is primarily due to the figure of St Peter.
