Description
Velwell Villas comprises a group of mid-19th century stucco-fronted houses, with a detached house, number 12, located on Howell Road. Numbers 8 to 18 form a cohesive group. The buildings are three storeys high and generally feature two windows each, although number 12 is a detached house. A decorative band runs along the first floor level. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and architrave surrounds. The side wings project and feature splayed ground floor bays with verandahs between them. Eaves brackets are present on some of the buildings. The roofs are slate, with hipped forms, and numbers 8 to 12 each have a single dormer window.
