Description
St Olave's Home, located at No. 32 Bartholomew Street East, is probably an 18th-century building with later additions. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys high, featuring three windows with three-light sash designs that include glazing bars and keystones. An early 19th-century cast-iron balcony adorns the facade. The entrance is marked by heavy fluted columns topped with unorthodox Ionic capitals, leading to a six-panel door with a rectangular light above that has intersecting tracery. The building is finished with a heavy moulded cornice and a hipped tiled roof. St Olave's Home is part of a group of listed buildings along Bartholomew Street East.
