Description
Follett Lodge is a two-storey house located on Ferry Road in Topsham, likely dating from the late 18th century but significantly altered and expanded. The main rebuilding occurred in 1921, during which most of the external features were added. The house has a roughcast exterior and includes two-storey Georgian bow windows, a Dutch gable, an elaborate balcony, and a Tudor-style doorway, all introduced in 1921. It is topped with a slate roof. Follett Lodge is notable as the birthplace of Sir William Webb Follett, who lived from 1798 to 1845 and served as Attorney-General.
