Description
This is an early 19th century red brick house situated on a stone plinth in Axminster. It has a slate hipped roof concealed behind a parapet with simple stone coping. The house is three storeys high and features a two-window front. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set beneath flat, rubbed brick arches with keystones. A segmental bowed sash window with glazing bars, pilasters, and an entablature is located on the first floor to the left. A central doorway is framed by panelled pilasters, an entablature, panelled reveals, and has a panelled door approached by stone steps. A matching doorway is located to the left. A plaque is set into the parapet on the south side, bearing the indistinct dates 1800 or 1806.
