Description

The Dench headstone, located approximately 9 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Michael in Otterton, is a Grade II listed headstone dated 1776 in memory of Andrew Dench. Made of limestone, this upright slab stands about 700mm high and features a shaped top. The front of the headstone has a moulded frame and is inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, commemorating the death of Andrew Dench in 1776.
